The music of this opera breathes the atmosphere of the baroque. For Giulio Cesare, conductor Emmanuelle Haïm – a specialist in this repertoire – will be taking on the dual role of conductor and harpsichordist. Together with the singers, she works on the subtlest and most virtuoso arias full of vocal fireworks Händel ever wrote.
