bye bye blighty

essay film

Bye Bye Blighty is an essay film exploring Britain’s multicultural society, filmed during the month when Brexit took effect.  As the United Kingdom suffers from a polarised and divided society and xenophobia seems to be evident, this short film explores the space and overlaps between various communities living in the U.K.

With overlaps of image and sound between shots, the work is designed as a collage of Britain’s social and cultural climate.
